Can you believe that nasty stadium (Canad Inns Stadium) also played host to professional baseball in the 90's before the Goldeyes got there fancy new stadium downtown.

Are they really doing this ?? Do they have time before the Olympics ? I think it's a huge improvement.

Thanks for sharing all the stadium pics - cool to see them all. I have to say Commonwealth is the nicest stadium in the CFL, love the lighting standards and the overall look, although I prefer to watch games in McMahon because you are right on top of the action (Boris our seats must be close to yours). It's too bad Commonwealth couldn't lose the track and I wish it could have stayed at about 45,000 capacity as it was when it opened '78

i agree, Commonwealth is the best outdoor stadium in Canada. Olympic Stadium in Montreal is the most visually stimulating, whether that is a positive or negative is a personal choice. and McMahon is the stadium most in need of being torn down and relocated. IMO, McMahon is nasty and uneventful.

Any of you Montreal folks have some pictures of Molson Stadium and it's environs ? I'm trying to imagine how it fits in to downtown Montreal.
How is the stadium expansion coming ?

Thanks for the rendering. When will the renovations be completed? And what will be the final capacity?

I think the final capacity will be around 25 000. Moreover, 20 corporate boxes will be added.

Thanks! That'll be great for the Al's. Although, I hope they gather enough support to move back into Olympic stadium some day. It's a shame to see such a beautiful stadium go to waste.

And after looking through that PDF, I had no idea Perceval Molson Stadium was in such disrepair 10 years ago! You would never know by looking at it today! They've done an amazing job restoring the place.

I've always hated the patchwork seat coloring at Mosaic Stadium. If the rumors about a new stadium aren't true, I hope they'll at least renovate the existing stadium. And re-painting the seats would be a fairly inexpensive enhancement.

It would look a lot more modern IMO

That side has metal seats though... would they be painting those? I would think the paint coat on the metal seats lasts longer than the coat on the wooden east side bleachers.

I don't think I really like the monochromatic-ness of only green... I think it needs something else... I haven't decided what though. I guess I'm just used to looking at a patchwork quilt...

I thought the patchwork at Taylor Field was meant to represent the wheat fields of Saskatchewan as seen from the sky. Always found it kinda cool.

Stadium proposed for the Halifax region (technically Dartmouth) when we were bidding for the 2014 Commonwealth Games... still hoping that someone will step up to the plate and commit some funding to this, I don't think this is likely as long as Peter Kelly is in office though

25,000 permenant seats, expandable to 45,000-50,000... photos courtesy of Facebook

What will be the configuration of the Moncton stadium when it is at 28,000?
