St. Louis is such a cool city. I too love those big old apartment buildings. What a great set.

Obviously there was a vacuum for some CWE goodness, I consider it a personal failure that I never got to that CWE thread, but to my defense, ive been on a wine and benadryl regime since the mold and pine pollen started flying and my skull started leaking fluids. Just as well that the situation will be handled by the best, as opposed to my grit detection unit.

Man, Skinker-DeBaliviere (and the CWE, of course) is so freaking cool, and I often miss the cosmopolitan personality of the central corridor - going up there is just as exotic as traveling hundreds of miles - I have actually stayed in hotels up there for a "get-away" weekend. I would offer that South City and the Central Corridor are as St. Paul is to Minneapolis.

I've got to get to St. Louis. Rather stay in a neighborhood then downtown.

yeah it looks like a beautiful neighborhood, this picture reminds me of parts of Chicago, specifically parts of Uptown.

Depending on the neighborhood, you can really get some great deals on architectual gems in STL. Old North St Louis is the hot spot right now.

I just thought I'd bump this sucker up, since STL hasn't been heard from in a while. A few things have changed since these pics were taken, mostly for the better.

Wow, that is a great price!

These are great photos. I'm always pleasantly surprised at St. Louis. It's like an East Coast city in the heartland. I gotta get over there and check it out someday.
