Holy shit wow. This is the most exciting thing I've heard for a while. It's been so embarrassing to have no bike shop in the core.

Great news. Bikes are cool. I love bikes. And it is kinda funny to think that Hamilton hasn't had a bike shop downtown until now.

Will this be in the former Korean restaurant? Or that Chinese clock shop (is it still there)? Or one or two shops over?

Great news. The hammer definitely will do well with a new bike shop downtown.

yup, I agree.
I was actually going to contact the folks at the Bad Dog and suggest they locate there (their website has had a 'new location coming soon' banner up for a while).
but now they are re-opening in their old spot, so I guess that kills that idea.

It will be in the old watch shop. The Korean restaurant and the small attached storefront are both closed.

James North totally needs a cafe with a small sidewalk patio.

There used to be one at King and Ferguson up until a few years ago. I believe it was Scattolon Cycle, which currently has a shop on the dreaded mountain.
