Santa Monica, a drive down Wilshire, and the Griffith Observatory

In retrospect, this photo turned out pretty cool, but, I was really irritated at the time looking at Santa Monica behind me as I got forced onto the PCH and had to go MILES before turning around!

And we're back!

Wilshire Blvd

Thanks to my friend Kelly for this one!

Whenever I go to LA, I seem to always gravitate to Santa Monica. There must be a large human magnet there.....

Great shots!

Santa Monica is easily the location I'd most want to live if I ever moved to Southern California. I absolutely love it there!!! Thanks for the nice pics, Stepper. It'll be nice when they finally get the Expo line extended beyond Culver City to its terminus in Santa Monica! (but I know that's still many years down the line unfortunately)

Seeing these just makes me even more glad to be living in L.A. There is no place like it, and with weather like we have, all the more better. BTW its been a great summer thus far. There hasn't even been a heatwave and summer nearly over. Although when we had cool summers, it always seem to go out in a bang of a week or so of some god awful heat.

Spectacular pics! IMO, Santa Monica is definitely one of the best places in the L.A. area. Great shots down the Wilshire corridor as well and of course the views from Griffith are always fantastic.

I love LA's architecture! Good air quality shots. Excellent pics. I can feel the cool Pacific Breeze and the cold ocean water. I'll be at the Hollywood Bowl this weekend and surfing at Huntington Beach (Orange Cnty). I'll share my pics next week.

I really like how the city is filling in, the lower and even mid rise buildings are taking on an almost Parisian feel. The more street trees, landscaping and pedestrian areas the better.

Thanks for the wonderful photos. SM never fails to please. I still need to make it back to Griffith Park since the observatory opened. Oh, and thank god they finally caught the MF who was hell bent on buring down the park.

^^^That's great! Glad they caught the jerk.

Like everyone else, I love Santa Monica. It's one of my favorite parts of LA.

Thanks for all the comments. I think it's hard NOT to take good pictures of Santa Monica. And yes, I, too, would love to live there if I ever moved down south.
