for every annoying expat BCer potluck i've been to, and even considering how quiet 2am felt there - i have a grudging respect for vancouver. it's a working city, underneath all those condos...a steel-veined port.
Yeah, Vancouver is really becoming a nice largish North American city. I find each time I go back I have less and less to complain about. Ridiculous red tape attached to everything not included. It does make for a more interesting black market I suppose.
