Downtown Moncton, New Brunswick

Hi there!

I've never really posted a photo thread in this section before, I usually stick to the local section...but I figured I would try it out.

Here are some pictures I took a week or so ago in downtown Moncton, New Brunswick.

If you have any questions about the area, or a certain building or picture please speak up and I will do my best to answer.

General info about area:

Very impressive relative to the population. Actually, an impressive city relative to nothing. Thanks for sharing some great photos!

Glad to see that you put up these pics from Moncton on this thread. We need to spread the word re: our special little city on the east coast of Canada.

For those who are interested, the Wikipedia article on Moncton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moncton) is largely the creation of myself and Stu.(mmmatt)

If you peruse the article, you will find that Moncton has a unique history and has a dynamic economy.

Impressive and fun thread. Glad you decided to post it here. I'd never heard of Moncton until I joined SSP. Great looking city with a dandy skyline. Look forward to more pics of the place. Thanks.

Yeah, a big issue with small-mid sized cities is getting your name out there. We have been doing fairly well recently, we hosted a massive concert in 2005 when the Stones played here for 85,000 people. Also we will be hosting the World Curling Championship in 2009 and the IAAF World Junior Championships in Athletics 2010.
