The Algonquin project does not depend on anything directly related to LRT. It does depend on a lot of 'last gasp' BRT-related building which will nominally incorporate provision for LRT as well, but nothing directly related to LRT. Where there could be delays is in securing funding for the BRT building project. Indirectly, LRT might have impacted it because someone decided that the coming of LRT would be a good excuse to use to bury transit, whereas the earlier plan had transit (BRT) on the surface. I say 'excuse' because LRT is even more amenable to being on the surface than is BRT so burying it is unnecessary.
