not currently. the urban rivers at the top of my list for next season are milwaukee's rivers and cleveland's cuyahoga. beyond that, who knows where the current will take me.

are any of those southwestern ohio rivers you mentioned especially urban/industrializd? are they kayak friendly? good put-in/take-out locations?

Hooooaaahh you'll have to give me a ring when you come to Milwaukee, I volunteered for an organization that headed kayak/canoe trips along the rivers.



This thread is awesome, by the way. This is what I think is so fuckin' awesome about Chicago.

^ i think tom is also seriously considering getting one too. when the weather warms back up again on the flip side of winter hopefully we'll have our own SSP folding kayak flotilla.

i wouldn't know first hand as i've never gone fishing on the river, but i do see a fair number of anglers fishing from the banks whenever i'm out paddling, i just hope and pray that they're catching and releasing. may god bless anyone desperate enough to actually eat anything that comes out of the chicago river.
