Good stuff, thanks! Nice time of day for some pics. I can't believe there is already Christmas stuff out.

Thanks for the pics.

I was just down there this afternoon for lunch at the Red Door. It's a cool area that I rarely explore because it's a challenge to get to when coming from the North Shore. Parking is also at a premium around there.

its pretty easy to find parking on the side streets and its usually free

i wondered what was going into this spot! I wonder what will happen with the two produce stores that just shut down - i imagine more larger chains will move in - seeing as lucky jeans and mavi have just moved in

The loss of the bakery, butcher, and produce store is saddening. There weren't many useful stores along Granville, and those were basically it. It's become the main street in Vancouver for high-end furniture and lingerie, and now designer christmas trees can be added to the list (I'm not sure they're actually selling the christmas trees but there doesn't seem to be much else in there).

There isn't a supermarket between the IGA on Maple and the Safeway on Ash. I was thinking Toys-R-Us/Bowmac would make a good spot for smallish one. At least it would help with pedestrian traffic on Broadway, like what Save-on-foods has recently done to Cambie.

The light last night was really great. It faded quickly but I had a good half hour of blue sky mixed with dark clouds, and with wet roads, before it got too dark. My camera is just a simple point and click and it doesn't do well in low light, hence the small size.

Comes with the high end territory. There is Meinhardt's which falls into the high end as well.
