Cool. That's got to be the first time I've seen pictures of snow in Houston. Must be a novelty there.

Great pics, and I love that ice skating rink! I know they've had one inside the Galleria for years but that's the first one I've seen outdoors down there, very interesting

It is indeed a novelty in the coastal area, although it does occur occasionally (every 5-10 years on average). In the Dallas area, it generally occurs once or twice each winter, and in northwest TX, it's common in the winter. Still, nothing like Toronto, of course.

Cool pics. I think the globes look cool with the trees as a backdrop.

Discovery Green is awesome! I love it. You need to post some of your One Park Place pictures on that forum. Great photos.

Houston and LA are awfully similar.

Both have huge Hispanics (especially Mexican) populations, decentralized Downtowns and a heap of mid-century/modern architecture...oh, and sprawling suburbs, too

Nice photos, I like the ice skating rink. I'm also a bit surprised to see snow in Houston, something I always associate more so with Dallas.

It seems really strange to see people ice skating with sunglasses and t-shirts, and leaves on the trees. It would be like ice skating in September up here.

main st looks great, and i like the artsy globe thingies - are those illuminated from inside? (i can't see anything but some string suspending them)

even churches need their satellite tv.
