Lovely Victoria angles. such a nice medium-sized city. I visited several times in the 90s.

Our skyline does look very linear from that angle. It actually extends south from the river many blocks down our main street. I would love to see a few more highrises in from our waterfront to fill it in and add some density though.

skyscraper canyons in the maritimes. Awesome!

Here is why Halifax beats London. among other reasons.

The timetable for renovating Fenwick Tower seems to be a moving target.

Here is a clip about the proposal.

Halifax is one of those old eastern Canadian cities that went into relative decline about 100 years ago. Due to its geography and history, Halifax has lots going for it. There's a large inventory of pre war buildings, colonial era fortifications, a big port, relatively large airport, massive military presence, coast guard, 6 universities, hospitals galore, and a spectacular setting that surprises people who've overlooked this region of the country.

There are only 400,000 people in metro Halifax, but it's definitely one of those cities that punch far above its weight.

Nice beautiful city with a remarkable history. You can see it in its architecture.

Wanna go there within 2 years.

Interesting photo of downtown Moncton taken from the roof of city hall.

This was taken on the weekend, during the festivities surrounding the Touchdown Atlantic CFL football game. The stage out front on Main Street was for a free outdoor concert given by Sloane.

I think the fog in the atmosphere gives this photo an intriguing softness that makes the scene somewhat surreal. Fog BTW is quite rare in Moncton. The weekend was quite warm and humid, which allowed the fog to form in the river valley.

Spring of 2012 is the most updated timeline that I have heard of. We'll see, but it is still a go that's for sure.
