So it should not be in the U/C section yet.

I passed by the lot today and all of the junk has been removed and there is now a rectangle dug out. There is not much of a change yet, so it did not warrant me to stop and take photos. Maybe next time there will be more progress to report.

Moving Quick

It looks like they are about to pour the concrete foundation after they get the rest of the dirt out of there. Awesome update Random.

Those vids are coming in pretty handy recently, especially since there's a decent police presence at the entrance along La Branch weekdays.

Driving by, I was able to see that they at least have part of the perimiter wall up for the foundation for part of the block near the intersection of La Branch and Dallas (west side of the site). I'm intrigued by the work here, since it's much smaller than what I recall seeing at the Hess Tower site when that got underway.

True

The Hess Tower had a much deeper hole dug out for the foundation. This tower may be higher off of the ground, so maybe that is why it is not too deep. The renderings we have are terrible and nothing like the renderings for Main Place and the Hess Tower.

Anyone have any photo updates on this? Maybe some foundation work so we can move this thread over to construction?

August 06 update

Here are some evening photos from this past Thursday. Not much has changed and the foundation is not yet started.

Update August 12

I did not take any photos today due to the HPD officer standing by my usual picture spot. The digging has gotten deeper and I was wrong about the shallow pit for the foundation. It looks like they have gone another ten feet deeper, so the tower still has a ways to go before the concrete pour.

Officially under construction

I passed by this evening and I am happy to report that this tower is under construction. Here are my photos taken on September 03,2009.
