Has anyone used this service in Hamilton? (You order your groceries online and they deliver - I think for a $5 fee if its the same here) -- prices are comparable to a higher-end grocery store, except I think they only offer name brands online, no store brands/cheaper options.

Is it the same here - good quality, they show up when they say they will?

I didnt know until today they operated here as well, and I'd remarked a few times on how nice it would be if they did -- I'd rather get groceries myself and pay a bit less, but for those very hectic weeks this works beautifully - and there's no impulse purchases.

I have used Grocery Gateway every now and then. If you have used their service in the GTA, then it is comparable service here. They are always on time (or early), and the order is correct. I tend to avoid ordering produce because I like to visually select produce, but everything else is good quality (little on the pricey side).

I haven't used it myself, but I have a friend who uses grocery gateway and she is constantly singing it's praises.

My mother has used them, also pleased with the service. They were on time ( not counting the days of those brutal snowstorms, but they still got through). The delivery people were courteous, the groceries were packaged carefully and removed carefully. Same thing with her, the only drawbacks were the higher prices, and not some of the brands she wanted. She says they deal pretty much with Longo's. Nevertheless certainly a great service for older people and those that can't get out.

I've used it once and the service was pretty good, although I still prefer actually going to the grocery store, it's great if you can't there.

Normally you can get delivery the next day or 2 days after your order. The delivery fee is $9.99 flat rate... I don't think there is a minimum purchase because you pay for delivery regardless. The food is all Longo's stuff, with prices the same or slightly higher than what you'd pay at Longo's.

If you are a new customer and use your Visa, there's a great deal to save $20 off a purchase of $60 or more:
