A lot of these projects have been completed, canceled, or delayed. Maybe if I get time this weekend I will do an updated list.

Sob

Did anyone else notice that the Streets of Buckhead signs were taken down today and replaced with a coat of brown paint?

Sad that there's not really anything to be excited about. The few that look good are still just unknowns.

I won't miss most of the projects that were delayed or cancelled due to poor economic conditions.

Bogo

I was on the AJC website this AM and saw what appeared to be a "buy one get one free" advertisement for Viewpoint condos. If that is the case I'd be less than happy as one of the original suck...er buyers in that development.

ok, if Vegas and Philly doesn't end up having to make new threads, and we work really hard, we can beat their hit count by 2018. Start posting (about something other than libraries)!

No one is discussing the ABC's article on the Atlanta Symphony hall?

Hotel Palomar

I was not a great fan of the building, but the street level is really going to enhance West Peachtree. The lobby seems to be very chic, with some kind of outdoor area right above the main entrance. I think i am starting to love what they are doing with the hotel.

I saw it yesterday....and I must agree. I like that they continue to bring in lots of plants at street level (like Midcity and Post across the street). Hopefully the restaurant and retail space there is successful.

Great news! I knew they were working on a new master plan for the center (and Sasaki is a great firm to do it), but never knew that they were thinking of moving the symphony hall to the lot fronting Peachtree at 15th. I think this is nothing but a good idea.

One thing that was sort of disconcerting though...."Four sites were considered in the planing process — 14th Street, above the Arts Center MARTA Station, developer John Weiland’s Museum Tower site across Peachtree Street and 15th Street."

Guess that means Museum Tower is no longer "indefinitely postponed" but basically in the "canceled" category...

agreed. that part of our area is desperate for street activity (besides drug dealers)

that restaurant area looks really nice. i also like the tile work on the outside of the building.
