It's sad to see this place going up looking like crap. Why even do rendering if your going to build this junk?

I'd ask you to build something better, but then Trolls don't have any money (and apparently can't spell or use grammar either).

The people building this are at least literate.

To reiterate, nice hypocrisy.

As for grammar,"was what was......."

The more I see of this building, the more I'm starting to think the glass is blue. I think the black that we're seeing is actually the plastic protective layer that you'd see on a sheet of plexiglass. Dotted around the building there are windows where this outer layer is missing and the glass seems more reflective and a little bluer. Plus, all of the glass balcony doors seem blue as well. I don't think the final product will be that tropical ocean blue from the renders, but I do think it will be more blue than black. I still don't know if that's the case with the spandrel, though. Maybe the coating on the spandrel is opaque? I'm assuming that if there is a protective layer, it won't be removed until the brickwork is done on the tower. Anyhow, here's a couple pictures that kind of illustrate my point. What do you guys think?

Blue balcony doors.

Random windowpane top right looks different than the rest (more blue/more reflective). Again, balcony doors also look more blue.

Closeup of the lower panes from yesterday.

No question you are correct, I noticed the same thing driving by the other day. There is obviously a coating the glass at the moment and from your picture the actual glass is much more "blue" which is a good thing in my opinion.
This tower still has a long way to go before we will get a really good idea of the final product. I for one am confident it's going to end up looking very nice...while maybe a bit short of the initial render still an amazing project for the area and London as a whole

Drove past the development today. Most of the brick work is done for the lower levels.

Also, the foundation for tower 2 seems to be nearly complete. I think it's safe to say that it should be changed from "proposed" to "under construction".

Does anybody know if they're adding brick all the way up the tower? I think it would look good on just the base and they can just paint the concrete for the rest. There's already quite a bit of glass, so I don't think it would look too bad. I just feel brick for the whole building might look a little cheap? And you really can't tell with the rendering. Any thoughts?

I certainly hope that the brick will be added all the way to the top! Personally, I think that painting the concrete will look much worse, and this has been a big concern of mine since the beginning. But, I guess we'll just have to wait and find out who ends up getting satisfied!

I'm hoping the tower will be clad in brick as well.

I believe it's topped out now, if I'm not mistaken. Don't have any pictures, but I see some sort of concrete box thing up now.

Drove by today, looks like it is topped out now just working on the final finishes on top.

Also was able to peek into the site and Phase 2 looks to be above ground level already so we should start to see it rising sooner than later as well.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. Seems like all the windows have been installed, but they aren't finished with the balconies or brickwork yet. Also, the second tower should be rising quite soon!

Tower 2 is rising? Awesome!

Any photos/proof? If so, we can get the building changed from 'proposed' to 'under construction' on SSP's database.

I didn't take any pictures but it looks like the base is basically at ground level and there is re-bar sticking up a few feet.
