I don't know how much we can trust that model. When you take a closer look you can see that its not what's being built today. The vertical lines are all wrong and the balconies are way different.

This picture from denver infill is the most true to what's being built:

and like fidel said it appears to be the same material as the rest of the building. On the plus side though, the crown looks way beefier in this rendering.

I asked about the crown on the model when looking at condos in the building. The model has a slightly scaled down crown because it was getting to tall to for the ceiling in sales center

The perspective is off at the top but I think this gives a good idea of how the 4S will end up looking in the skyline. I even exaggerated the top as, mentioned prior, it was scaled down on the model. Snyder's estimate of it being about even with the mountain on the right looks to be pretty close.

** oops looks like I got the curved and flat side swapped.

Oh and it looks like the jumped the 1800 Larimer crane today too. Before & after, after quality is not so good.

Well I'm impressed that Denver's sales could be that healthy right now!

Hmm the denverinfill rendering is much truer to life. And I think it's funny how flat and underbuilt it makes Denver look since the shot is from central Downtown out towards Lakewood/Littleton.

I suppose the fact that they're waiting indicates they aren't willing to buy Office Depot out of the contract or something.

The latest I heard about W was that there are issues with the design. The city wants them to put retail on the first floor facing 16th. The design they use for their other W's is to have the front door take you into the "living room' like you are coming home.
Office Depot is going out of business. So I imagine it is part design issue and part waiting until OD is gone.

That seems like an easily solved problem though, they could put the guest entrance on Market with the retail facing 16th street.

Also, I just read something awesome on Denverinfill. The developers of the W would also get the Office Depot parking lot on the other side of the street. There are no plans for the lot but it's nice to know that if the W goes up then another development could be soon to follow.

Or it's a lot easier to wait for the lease to expire than find Office Depot another location DT. I recall that being one of the conditions/options.

hey....i haven't been able to find any information about the project going in at 20th and lawrence with the crane. what is that?? it can't be 2020 lawrence...this project is on the south side of 20th...

Solera. Here (towards the bottom of the page). It's the same people as 2020, but they put that one on hold and are doing this one first.

Love how Mayor Hick isn't even wearing a suit or tie when he meets the President. I think we need more laid back people at all levels of government.
