Downtown slides/people movers

OK here's a crazy idea I had. But the more I thought about it, the cooler and, dare I say, more plausible it seemed.

What if, at a location in the central city, there was built a 30 story elevator and at the top were giant slides that took people to various parts of the city? It would be a fun and green way to move people around and it would be a world's first.

Hilarious and awesome idea. I don't know about green though, unless people had to walk up stairs to the top.

It looks fun, but I would not want one in my city.

Plausible? The only thing less plausible would be a mermaid-themed bar!

Oh wait, never mind...

Wburg: Why do you dislike the Mermaid bar? I am undecided until I see it for myself...
