Angles sur l'Anglin - A Pretty French Village

How to create a picturesque village.

First, take a river.

Add a stone bridge....

...and on the far bank, sprinkle some trees, a handful of houses and a church.

Mould the near bank into a steep hill. Lace it with narrow winding streets....

...make sure you used cobbled streets...

And mix in a generous portion of unusual buildings.

Leave enough space for a market square...

...and some more trees...

...then season liberally with plants, balconies and window boxes.

Finally, add a ruined castle...

...oh, and a water mill...

... and cover with tiles. Bake in the French sun for 4-500 years.

Serve with a garnish of quaint French motors.

Serves approx 400.

Sigh..... oooh to be there, have oodles of free time, some blank pages to write upon and plenty of blank canvases to paint on. Good wine, good food, and a good romance to inspire ones pen and brushes. Would be heaven.
