Lightbulb DART Green Line testing

Video Link

Video is time-lapse. Video shows the new tracks north of the new maintenance facility located just north of Loop 12. The Green Line also runs south through downtown Dallas and southeast to Pleasant Grove and terminates at Loop 12 again. So, only the northern half of the Green Line is shown. This section of the Green Line is to open for paying passengers in early December.

Much of these sections of the Green Line is elevated. It's elevated mainly in warehouse districts because there are freight tracks running parallel with spurs under the light rail tracks. FTA-FRA conflicts require physical or temporal separations of the two different train types.

DART has released another video for the entire Green Line, including the section in the video above.

Green Line opens officially on Monday December 6th, but earlybirds will be able to ride the train on Saturday December 4th.
