Brescia, Lombardy, Italy (lots of pics!)

And here's another.

Brescia is a major industrial and trading city in northeatern Lombardy. Home to approx. 180.000 souls with a metro area exceeding half a million people it lays on the edge of a plain between massive peaks and Italy's largest lake. Celtic, Roman and Romanesque, Baroque and Gothic, a mix of style and heritage.

Here we go

Capitolium (at the heart of what was Roman Brixia)

Via Musei, Santa Giulia Museum and the dome of S. Salvatore, a "Langbart" age church. Yes 1.500 years ago.

Via Musei, Restaurants

Walking towards the Venetian townhouse (yes, Brescia was part of the Serenissima, centuries ago.)

Old and new Cathedrals

Via Mameli, in the shopping district. Pallata Tower

Less urban, some pics of the lakes and mountains surrounding Brescia. Ok, I ought to resize a few maybe

Valcamonica:

Lake Iseo , Sulzano

Lake Garda Desenzano...

Back into Ye Aulde Towne

Brescia Inner City

And to gorgeous lakes!!!

On the east side of the county you will find the Snow Flats glacier and the lemon orchard in Salò which are 30 miles apart as the crow flies. in a couple of hours drive you can go from Yukon to California.

Compact and diverse.
