Hong Kong noir - Sai Kung

I'm back in HK for 10 days. I spent last Sunday in Sai Kung, about half an hour north-east of HK island. It's a totally different atmosphere from the island, although it is still quite urban.
It was extremely hot and hazy, too, so I figured I'd do some b&w.

Fascinating. Great thread.

Thanks. Unfortunately I flew out right after work on Friday evening. Apart from that Sunday afternoon this stay was pretty much all work and no play.
I'm in Sydney now though, so I can't complain! a thread should be in the works shortly if this weekend's pictures come out any good.

How's life in HK Kilgore? still think you'll come back to Montreal?

Are you people like international bankers or techies or something?

The rows of similar towers are intense.

haha nowhere close, I work for a software company and am lucky enough that a few of our clients are in HK and Australia.

yeah middle and lower class residential architecture in HK (and I would guess China, though I've never been) is pretty strikingly ugly and repetitive, yet it gives the place an intrigue I've never seen anywhere else.
