I took these November 2012 heading into Houston.

Below, The ginormous Texas Medical Center - The world's largest medical center.

Below, Texas Southern University. Formerly Texas State University for Negroes. Major campus expansion underway.

Nice.

I can almost see my house through the tree canopy. I live just North of Rice Stadium (in the Texas Medical Center shots). Lived here for a year and love it.

Also, nice to see Texas Southern from the air. They play their football games in the new BBVA Dynamo Stadium (you can see the orange stands in the downtown shots on the back side of the massive convention center). I went earlier this year to hear the Ocean of Soul Marching Band. Loved it.

Lastly, did you miss the University of Houston's campus? It's literally one block from TSU across Scott St.

You live very close to my folks, who live a couple of blocks west of Rice Univ.
