Actually, the zoo is considered part of Highland Park, not Morningside.

From a different day, I went to the Mt. Washington and Belthoover neighborhoods on the South side of the city:

The South Hills is also home to great skyline views:

Mckeesport. I rode the 61C bus down to Mckeesport. This is a city down river from Pittsburgh. I had heard about how dangerous and run down this city was (like Camden, NJ across from my hometown of Philadelphia), so I had to go check it out.

These are from 5 days ago. I got covered in snow because I was only wearing a hoodie and no jacket. This was from my fail trek out to the West End, walked the wrong way and by the time I go to the Overlook it was almost dark, and my hands were frozen (no gloves). Anyway's I went back days later, and those photos are coming tomorrow.

Heavy Snow:

Pretty skies along Chartiers Ave:

Gone but not forgotten, the PCC's:

The city looks great from above. On street level in the neighborhoods... rather depressing and dreary, especially this time of year. Thanks for the new photos.

Snow. These are from 10 days ago when I walked from Oakland to downtown. I had to make a detour around due to the sidewalks being covered in snow.

Business as usual in Oakland, on Fifth:

A Walk down Penn Ave from East Liberty to downtown. In some of these photos you will see a Pittsburgh tradition, using chairs to reserve parking spaces:

Starting in East Liberty:

New Construction:

Snow removal from sidewalks, very bad. This walk was treacherous, but I didn't fall:

Yeah for art:

Bus stops and cars still covered in white:

History:

Penn Ave home to varying architecture:

Port Authority everywhere:

Downtown in the distance:

Penn Ave near downtown is very industrial:

Downtown from Herron Ave near the East Busway:

Penn Ave in the Strip District:

The 16th Street Bridge leads to the North Side:

The Pennsylvania Railroad still brands the side of Penn Station (now used by Amtrak):
