yep Istanbul is the prettiest megacity there is, its just so damn pedestrianised and full of old restored buildings, along with new ones. There are loads of similar streets - but that's one of the most famous ones as it was precursor to the rest getting the makeover. The mayor is a trained modern architect, but tellingly, he restores the old and repairs the postwar mistakes.

But why here instead of City Discussions? So much more goes into a great street than just the architecture.
