There are restrooms all over. Unfortunately, they aren't really noticeable from a distance. But they are at least well kept.

Although it is a "tunnel", the austhetics is bland. Perhaps some artwork and /or lighting effects would be helpful. I was also thinking of display cases which local retailers can lease for advertising purposes.

Good news on the CCC Condo front. Last update was 4/29

Promontory:
62 reserved, up from 61, 34%

Regent
64 reserved, up from 62, 43%

Richards Court
29 reserved, no change, 29%

Total
155 reserved, up from 152, 36%

This version of my spread sheet started on 2/1/2012, this was the total then.
138 reserved, 32%.

That's 17 units in 15 weeks, 1.13 units per week. At that rate full occupancy would occur in 4.6 years. Which means The Cascade would probably begin construction in 3 - 3.5 years. That's not to bad.

Obviously a longer time sample is required to be more accurate.

I was mildly surprised to see the ZCMI signage in this picture. I didn't expect ZCMI to survive anywhere other than the Macy's facade. It appears to be at the point where you enter the previous ZCMI Center footprint, and I'm sure there was some sort of signage there in the past, although I don't clearly remember it. IIRC, you used to walk away from the main part of the mall through the base of the Beneficial (now KeyBank) tower, past the elevators and down some stairs/escalators to access the tunnel. So you were quite a distance away from the actual ZCMI store at that point.

Could be the vacant spot next to the food court that is painted black. Before the new store at fashion opened, it was black too.

It`s interesting how this person paints CCC as being some sort of suburban big-box mall when it is far from it. It is a HUGE improvement from what really were big-box, suburban-style malls! CCC does have national as well as international chains, but local business are also included - Rocky Mt Choc Factory and Kneaders. Plus, CCC reaches out to local business in other ways:

As for the "Disney Land" comparison, it doesn`t even come close. Is it the Disney Store that makes it feel like Disney Land? Besides, what`s wrong with Disney Land? It is a hugely popular tourist attraction found in many diverse places of the world like Japan and Europe. It bothers me how some people consider "diverse" to exclude anything they deem too "traditional". Diverse means a little of everything including traditional. I feel like CCC is pretty diverse and I have seen many different types of people shopping there. It`s as if this blogger would prefer that anyone who appears too "traditional" be excluded from the mall in order for it to be "diverse" enough for her.

I must say, John McCain said it best. This country has become a nation of whiners. It seems like there will always be someone upset and whiny about something no matter how good it may be. Especially since the blogger complains about all the things that CCC improved from what used to be there. Ironic!

Apple store is moving to the large open lot on the ground floor of the crosroads side. The black baracade with ccc advertisment has been taken down and the gray construction baracade is up... Shouldn't be long

Farr's Fresh is almost ready to open in the base of the McKonkie Building (on the South Temple Side)... they were moving in furniture today when I walked by.

Gateway is closing. They gave the store staff the details yesterday.. New store will be quite a bit bigger.

It will probably open with the release of "the new iphone".. I would put my money on early october.. Gateway will close in conjuntion with the CCC opening.

I was at the Gateway yesterday and it was more crowded than I have seen City Creek for a few weeks...
