Looks like Arby's is back in the Ottawa area

For all Greasy Spoons out there, it looks like Arby's is opening in Kanata. It will be replacing that closed Burger King corner Hazeldean road and Castlefrank road. Curly fries anyone?

Yeah, thats pretty much over (if the trips to Arby's was the sole argument for a road trip to upstate NY). I think that Kingston has 2 locations now too.

From what I have learned, the Kanata location will be the first of a couple...

Would appreciate being kept up to date on the opening of this location, and others. Huge Arby's craving for the last month.

I was being sarcastic...I"m not a big fan of Arby's and many areas of NNY are pretty craptastic....I still smile when I remember that sign I saw in Malone, NY that said

'Land for sale....industrial, commercial, residential....you decide'

If only it were that easy.

Accurate. From what I have learned, this new Kanata location will be the first of a couple in the Ottawa area. According to what I have heard, it should be open late january.

According to Arby's, the opening will be mid-febuary.

Was just down in Kingston and had a craving for Arby's. Mmmm... tasty. Good thing that Ottawa's is opening out in Kanata, far enough for me to avoid temptation!

Arby's opened Friday, Feb. 19th, and I stopped in and had a few sandwiches!

The good thing is, this is only 2 minutes from where I work :D

Why aren't there more locations in the area? I love Arbys!

Went to the kanata location not long ago and was told that another Arby's will be built and this time in the east end. They told me Innes Road @ Trim Road next fall.

I'm rather curious about what a new Arby's looks like. The ones I've been have always looked like they were last updated in 1992 (and often last cleaned then as well).

Well, I guess it will be similar to this (photo courtesy of Darrell James on flickr): http://www.flickr.com/photos/darrell...n/photostream/

The interior of the Kanata one is pretty modern... Nothing like the old ones!

According to the staff at the Kanata location, a second Arby's should be built around the Tenth Line / Innes Road intersection.
