That's some serious progress on the FDR memorial in the background. Incidentally, does it look like the continuation of Center, eh, Blvd is only going to be paved, or will it get cobblestones eventually too?

Exclusive!!!! First look beyond 46-15!

Exclusive beyond 4615! This final area of Center Boulevards will be a beautiful addition to the Queens waterfront! So this is the rest of the 1 billion 7 building complex....

1) It does. It's served by a lot of subway lines, but the line that serves this area would be the G line.

2) It doesn't have a subway station, but it does have a ferry station for the East River Ferry.

Yeah, it's 2800 ft to 23rd and ely (E/M), 2400 ft to 21st st (G), and 2250 ft to Vernon Jackson (7). About half a mile to three stations and 4 lines isn't so bad.

Hey Carlos, excellent as always! A few quick Qs:

1.) Anything going on with the library?
2.) How's the southern extension of center blvd shaping up? I see it looks like they are moving along next to the school. Does it look like they're going to put the streets in, then break ground on the first two HPS towers later this year?
3.) Has TFC started clearing all the construction trailers to start the last tower directly behind the pepsi sign?
4.) The large building under construction in the back corner is to have another massive parking deck. Does it look like they're putting in footings for it? I assume it will be prefab like the others in the area. As long as they put retail in it along the base and finish the roof, like the other one of theirs, it will be ok.

I do need to get over there and do a walk around. It's been so long.

1.) Anything going on with the library? NOTHING....plot still empty..i heard the Queens library lost funding.....????

below is the plot as seen from my apt.

Does it look like they're going to put the streets in, then break ground on the first two HPS towers later this year? Center Boulevard is being extended but at street level does not look like much, from my apt high above you can see the outline....

3.) Has TFC started clearing all the construction trailers to start the last tower directly behind the pepsi sign? NOT yet..trailers still there..

4.) The large building under construction in the back corner is to have another massive parking deck. Does it look like they're putting in footings for it? they will have 7 floors of parking....hard to tell right now because the tower still very low.....it will also house a beautiful landscaped roof with an outdoor pool!!!
I assume it will be prefab like the others in the area. As long as they put retail in it along the base and finish the roof, like the other one of theirs, it will be ok.

Thanks again. Latest news on the library says groundbreaking in the next month or two:

http://www.qchron.com/editions/weste...7817a66d7.html

Unknown about the article's accuracy, but they reference all 5 of the TF Cornerstone buildings in Court Square. Not sure they will happen quite so quickly as it sounds.

I would say that the Library timeframe seems about right. I walked around the area over the weekend and saw blue pipes sticking out of the ground. That white truck in Carlos' pictures are actually driving piles into the ground. Seems like they are pumping liquid nitrogen into the pipes so they can solidify the ground and get the foundations going. I wasnt't able to take any pictures of the site but the trucks were definitely pile driving.

Awesome updates as usual. Going to be awesome to see all of this done, given the height of the building I'm assuming that it's not one of the 7 towers that this thread is dedicated to? But just a project that's around the corner...?
