Any idea on the air rights it has?

I love 450, it's graphically dynamic and the black glass/weathered steel cladding is gorgeous.

That is part of what is missing on this proposal. The other is streetwall.

Love it!

This has me even more hyped about this tower.
I do believe it will have a bigger presence in the skyline than it has in this pic, it seems impossibly slender.

Probably none.

It's next to 432 Park, and if they're really going to build a 1,420 ft tower, I assume the developers are buying up all the adjacent air rights.

It's "as of right". http://www.nyc.gov/html/dcp/html/zone/glossary.shtml
No need to buy air rights.

You know even though this tower would be 1/8 of the width of one of the Twin Towers themselves the height of this building 1,300 feet or more would make it as tall as one of the Twin Towers themselves. Include all this and again it would give people that feeling of looking at the Twin Towers again although this building would not have a twin it by itself would give people a little of that same feeling again.

1/8 the width of the twin towers would be 25 feet wide, this buildings more like half the width of the old WTC.

It would be a bit taller than in that rendering if it really is 1420 feet, it's about 1200 feet in that pic, it's not too far behind metlife.

I don't mind the tower being thin I just hope it stands out more than that.

I remember reading that. I also think it will enhance the view of this tower from street level.

The tower will be 75 feet wide based upon Vinoly's statement that the height to width ratio is 19:1.

It looks like they're starting to take down another building in the back. I think its 45 east57th street.

Yeah, they're moving pretty quick with the demo it seems. I really feel that this will be under construction sooner rather than later.

This 432m floating tower design with the sleek metal and glass facade will be great.

I have never seen 450 Park before but it looks beautiful from those pictures. The windows really make it stand out.

Edit: It occurred to me he might have been talking about the GM building.
