Regina has a very nice downtown. I haven't been there yet this winter, and I'm probably only a 7-10 minute walk away, if that. This thread really reminds me that I should do just that one of these days.

When were you in town?

Regina is very fortunate to have received the "flar photo treatment" of their downtown!

Great stuff.

You snagged one of the old apartment buildings I lived in about 15 years ago.

Looks like you didn't fit in a wander East of downtown.

I was in Regina for work on the 23rd and 24th. Not a lot of time for pictures, but I snapped some shots whenever I could.

It didn't make the cut, but here it is anyway:

Nice pictures. Regina looks like a nice Canadian city. It seems more like an Ontario town on the Prairies, rather than a Canadian version of Montana or North Dakota.

I'm really glad that you're able to visit other parts of Canada. Your threads are always good, and give a nice look that the city that you're in. Being able to see other cities in Canada in your pictures is a nice experience.

Great photothread. Some of the best I've seen yet on Regina. I really havent seen much of the city, unfortunately, in person. But, it looks like it has some rich older stock of architecture and I love those swans. Beautiful thread, hope to see more of Regina soon ! Was this your first time in the town?

It's amazing that this city's metropolitan area/urbanization is smaller than Canton (Ohio)'s. Wonderful shots.

That building looks terrible from the front since the windows inside and under the Greek columns are not centred! (you cannot tell from this angle) It was a 1950s office building that was abandoned for a long tuime renovated a few years ago into seniors home.

Good thread of the city I grew up in!

^I don't like the building for the crappy colour scheme. Disgusting choice of colours, it makes the building look cheap (that and what looks like faux historic).

Don't worry, Edmonton got it worse: http://www.flickr.com/photos/minissa...81251/sizes/m/

Great photos, flar. I was born and raised in Regina, and I think you've captured a lot of the downtown's best features.
