I never meant it like that. instead i mean that someday there will be so many really tall skyscrapers in that area that it will be part of something much much bigger. if you look at Chicago, it has so many big tall buildings that it seem to form one big thing. its hard to explain. with the trump tower and the other massive buildings near it, it is moving in that direction. a bunch of real tall buildings packed tightly together is something rare on any continent. in that way it is filler. it is filling a spot wear only a 900 ft skyscraper could to accomplish the effect i am referring to. jeez i hope that made sense. haha
Trump is 900 feet. It will never be just skyline filler
NEVER??? How far into the future are you imagining things? It might be that in the year 2500 anything LESS than 1000 feet tall will not even be visible in a skyline view... In 1929, when the Royal York Hotel was built, at just over 400 feet, it was over 100 feet taller than the Victoria tower built just 2 years earlier. Similar height increases are happening at a regular interval over time. I think it is the 'height' of arrogance to assume what is (or isn't) going to happen in the future...
I am starting to like this one. the color should should help it stand out from the nearby office towers. what is the name of the old skyscraper in the middle of the first and second shots. it is my favorite skyscraper in Canada.

I'm selfish. I really don't care of things that will take place outside of my projected lifetime. There are those cities like Buffalo or Detroit that no one in 1929 expected today would be insignificant specs of their former selves.
It's hubris to look so far in the future expecting a city of 50 million with a Coruscant skyline or a "Life After People" scenario. What we do know today is that we're approaching a max world population as women takeover the workplace and that most long term projections are showing a decline without any interference from Mother Earth. So, Who exactly will fill these towers?

Still never is a longtime. I'll be the optimist and project for at least one or two 1000 meter towers before I finish my work on this planet in the next 40 to 45 years from now.

Don't forget to list the project name whose photos you are posting Caltrane. Some of us out-of-towners aren't always sure which of the many construction sites you are showing!

The last one Cal posted was L Tower and the one before that is Aura.
