Shangrila is tall as hell. Yonge in Dundas looks like it's from 100 years in the future they way the white stripes of the Eaton Centre Towers play off their surroundings.

Can you post some of the pictures you took on your last trip to the future just for comparison and contrast purposes?

No metal objects, nothing dead can go through. Something about the field created by a living organism.

I had to go naked. Worst yet, the time displacement equipment was destroyed when I left, some bitch computer named skynet.

Looks like Toronto will escape economic disaster for the second time in a row as the US avoids default. The first economic disaster costed us the original One Bloor East development. This one will cost us nothing, if anything Toronto status as Global Financial Safe Haven has increased and more international cash is coming our way as the republicans in the US show their true colours tax cuts for billionaires over preventing their country from going into the financial abisis.

LOL!!!

and nice photos Dwils....
One thing i don't like, is how small Shangri-la is gonna look from the lake (at least compared to towers like the Ritz/RBC....

I guess those 2 big towers proposed at the site next to RBC are gonna fix that.

*I kinda hate how mass planned/complex-looking the RBC/Ritz block is... Especially considering they're so prominent on the skyline. That along with the TD Centre, many of the harbour front condos, etc... don't add much variety in this view.... i prefer standalone towers over twins/multiple planned complexes of look-alikes.... especially when 99% of them are green glass.

C'mon there. The first economic disaster was a huge boon for Toronto from a purely construction stand point. I doubt we'd have even close to as many towers breaking ground without it. Bazis' One Bloor was pure crap too.

The American Dream of owning any want and desire whether you have the cash or not compounded by any socialist thought being a cardinal sin is what is killing the US. Taxes are not the will of Satan and, with accountability, higher taxes would benefit all under the super elite. However, the aristocrats would lose some of that control on the brainwashed public which they have spent generations and countless millions to fine tune.

I'll take heart that the current round of proposals likely won't happen till the next economic cycle anyways.
