Don't remember it anymore? Am I that old? But you can see the signs in that Van Damme movie Double Team with Dennis Rodman....from....1997.

Well "Atlanta" comes from Atlantic.

Ginza Tokyo, 1966. Most of this neon would have been replaced during the building boom of the 1980s.

WTF is wrong with people, doesn't Vegas have any historic preservation messures? Anyone know if the Neon Sign Boneyard is taking this. I remember they offered to take the old Frontier Sign but Wynn had it destroyed because he claimed it was an eyesore infront of his resort. Atleast Reno still has a Fitzgeralds.

Why can't any of the newer Casinos come up with decent signage considering their budgets are so high compared to the 1950's and 60's?

Fitzgeralds went dark a few years ago. It's now called "Comm Row"--a rock climbing wall, some restaurants and clubs, but no hotel, no casino, and no bling.

That really sucks. At least with Vegas they still have tons of cool signage downtown such as Binions and Four Queens. Fitzgeralds along with the Arch was always the Reno's best.

Is there anything of that callibar left in Reno?
