Wow, excellent thread. Love the canyon views in downtown capturing the various skylines outside of the CBD.

This is too much! Gotta love it . Was this a flea market on the north side of Houston?

There is probably no city in the Western World that perplexes me more than Houston.

Great shots. Thanks.

thanks everyone. glad yall like the new set.

@vjhe - that was at traders village. check out the huge box remote on the left.

@lsyd - dude i just got tired of editing photos. so i just posted some of what i had. between what i got the two days we went out and what i had taken in the last few weeks i had enough to fill about 6 flickr accounts.

@Boreal - its a strange kinda town in a lot of ways but there is still plenty of cool stuff to be seen like any great city. you just have to know where to go.

Amazing.

Liked the corridor shots, and the one with the church(forgot the name!) and the YMCA and the Enron buildings and Continental Center sandwiching Uptown in the middle. And the one with the historical buildings on what appears to be Prarie St.

Sweet thread. So colorful. I'm drooling over that stretch of Oleanders along the sidewalk. You gotta love Houston's sub-tropical climate.

yeah i know what you mean. most of those were taken at the parking garage by houston pavillions. surprisingly good view from there. you would never think it till you get up there.

thanks. im feeling like i am just now really starting to understand how to use my camera better. but i was also very pleased with the output for this set. i attribute most of it to good weather recently. lots of nice clouds lately.

those were actually next to minutemaid park. but yeah when i saw the long empty side walk with them trailing all the way down i definitely found it to be note worthy.

the shots near the beginning are from a warehouse on westhemier before it turns into elgin. the billboard stuff is by the skate park on the bayou walk. the other warehouse near the end is close to downtown. not sure about the actuall address, just kinda stumbled on to it. you can always go peep the ware house on mckinney for aerosal warefare too. good stuff there. or you can peep artcrimes.com and search houston. most of the pics there are from that warehouse.

This is your best stuff that I've seen. Well done. Great mix of subjects and styles.

Careful now, you'll start making people think this isn't a 600-square-mile parking lot in front of a strip mall.
