I saw a show about him on TVO about a year ago. They brought him into a helicopter and flew over London for about 15 minutes, and over the course of a week he drew a 10 foot wide panorama of the City, from memory, with details right down to individual rowhouses. You can watch the video of it here. (London Panorama, top right.) Aside from his amazing drawing, there are lots of cool aerial shots of the city.

Very impressive work! Wow! this guy is really good. I can tell what he used because I use to do this type of drawing myself years ago...not by memory of course lol since I'm not that good. If you look at some of his drawings closely you can see the smearing effect he used. When I do shading I use tissue or toilet paper to rub around the drawing to give the back ground more of a dramatic effect. Unfortunately, my ex had all my drawings and didn't think anyone do this anymore since there are computer programs to do renderings. I've only done 2 Manhattan (WTC) and 3 Chicago (one with the proposed Skyneedle). Now that I've seen this I may do one. I've often wondered if there were any forumers on here who has done this type of pencil sketch drawings. Am I alone on this? I would love to see other people's work. I'll see what I can put together if anyone want to see more of these type of drawings.
