Nice tour. A couple of those shots look like they might have been on E Hastings St., which goes several blocks of nothing but homeless people, drugs addicts and drifters.

Great set! Looks like you spent a lot of time in the Downtown Eastside.

Awesome stuff. Always nice to see people with the guts to shoot in the DTES. I work there unfortunately and it's difficult to see Vancouver as the "beautiful urban metropolis" most Vancouverites want to believe it is.

Oh how I miss the coast

I didn't think that the Woolworths building was going to work in the DTES but it fits in very well.

Not only that but it has revitalized everything to the west of it as well on Hastings and Cordova. It's a pretty incredible change.

Now we just need 3-4 more of those.

Nice photos! I don't necessarily like the look of a lot of the residential towers, even in the further surburbs, but, the density is impressive. I definitely plan to visit Vancouver someday. Thanks!

Referring to coldrsx's quote of the above view, the older bldg on Beatty and Pender, and the tall block on Cordova are what really get my attention. The former is one of my favs in Vancouver, mainly because of the dome.

Although I prefer older high rises, I like the latter, because of its angles.

I was up there for the Expo '86 (my only visit there). There's quite a bit I don't recognize.

Great tour Thundertubs. I need to get out there again, with more than just 1/2 a day to explore this time.

A shot from the Harbour Centre observation deck - the place to take in a view of the city - is a unique angle?

This is the best Vancouver tour I've seen. I love how you show the urban fabric don't fixate on all the glass towers

Nice pictures. Did you go up in multiple places to get panoramic views, or is it all from one place?

yup, especially at this time of day and in such clarity.

Most people only care about north and west views from up there when some of the best 'views' are captured in this shot.

Now that's one big ass city. Lovely scenery as well. I've already visited Toronto, looks like Vancouver will have to be next

Your photos never disappoint. Come to think of it, neither does Vancouver. I'm thankful for the both of you!
