Smile NEW YORK | Aerial Heaven

Been posting New York aerials in other threads, but thought it would be nice to just see a compilation of New York aerials. Some are obviously dated, but great anyway.

I wish I could just drop everything here and just move there, the only reason Im staying in college is just to appease my family. If it were up to me and didnt have a family or whatever, Id move to NYC in a heartbeat, even if I just had to get a minumum wage job working at a coffee shop. Whatever, as long as I had enough money to fix my bike and pay for a crappy apartment in Queens or something, that would be awesome.

We've had a lot of Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn, now a little from the Bronx...

This is what a city looks like:

Also, question: Was this whole west side development done by Trump? I know he had planned on developing it but I haven't been paying attention for the last few years.

This is my favorite thread in internet history.

And yeah all those buildings along the West Side Highway are Trump, and at the far right that empty patch is where the Riverside South Development will hopefully rise soon.

The last 2 or 3 are from Gary Barnet/Extell Development. Trump sued his former partners who sold the rest of the development to Barnett.

Barnett is currently nearing approval for the final stage of development there...

I'm a pretty jaded New Yorker but this shot is pretty humbling. We really do live in a forest of skyscrapers.

Central Park today

Gawker posted this photo today of Central Park and the Upper East/West Sides. The photograph is by Bruce Bennett.

Check out the stark contrast between the East Harlem Berlin Wall of PJ's and its affluent southern neighbors.
