If ever there was a building that was built in the wrong era, it's this one. This looks like it came from New York City from the 1930's with it's vague resemblance to Rockerfeller Center. Nonetheless, it's one of my favorite US skyscrapers. It's wide shape and setbacks are not seen on many skyscrapers in the US. Plus it looks amazing at night.

One of the most beautiful buildings in existence. This should be the standard for postmodernist construction.

This is my favorite skyscraper in Minneapolis. It also works in context with what else is here. Kasota stone has been quaried here for over a century and a lot of prominent buildings are clad with it, including a number of art deco low and mid rises from the '30s.

For some reason I don't take very many photos of it, this is probably something I should change. I do have this one though:

Nice building, but I'll take Capella Tower (former US Bank Tower) over Wells Fargo any day. Just a different taste in architectural styles, I guess...

Minneapolis has a huge skyline compared to how much media coverage this place gets. Even on here, I rarely ever hear about this city, but its got some real gems of buildings, this one in particular.

The city is absolutely stunning in person. Downtown is pro-tier level dense, it's got a killer variety of architectural periods represented and it is bustling. I do believe it's a very underrated city.
I'm very glad my sister went to college in the metro so I had an opportunity to explore it. I would def go back if the opportunity was right. It's a very wealthy city too. It has a disproportionately large amount of corporate HQ's for it's population.
