Some bums and panhandlers actually have nerve enough to ring my doorbell. Rather than not respond and risk them trying to break into a house where they think no one is home, I answer the door with my hatchet in my hand. I keep it beside the door for just such occasions. I snarl, "Whaddayawant?" and they usually leave hurriedly without answering.

Thank you. I try. I have a shotgun, too, but it's beside my bedroom door. It's just a single-shot, but at less than ten feet with a 12-gauge, I figure one shot is all I need.

I'm really a nice, friendly old guy so long as I'm not provoked.

How dare you question his proximity to the city after which he was once named!

I'm not seeing anything wrong. You've probably got a virus or something?

My nose is very close to beating my penis in terms of annual body slime production, and my nostrils feel like they've been raped by acid. And my throat hurts.

I'm writing this from a Johnny on the spot next to railroad tracks in a tiny central Illinois shithole. The last time I was in here a massive garder snake crawled in when I was taking a shit and I crawled out...with my pants down screaming. Nobody could hear me thankfully due to the freight train...

Seems like central Illinois is a breeding/holding pen for all the pretty girls in sun dresses in Chicago. We know those girls aren't coming from Wisconsin...Heheheheh.

I'm digging through the 1950 Census results, making a Sporcle quiz of the top 300 cities, and came across something quite surprising:

Name the four largest cities in Illinois in 1950.

Hmmm without looking:

Chicago
Peoria
Rockford
East St Louis (less sure about but I know it was once way bigger and more urban with rowhouses, etc with a massive industrial base but smaller for its size downtown).
