T A I W A N (part 1): TAIPEI 台北

TO VIEW ALL MY TAIWAN THREADS

PART 2
PART 3

Here goes, my second thread on ssp. I spent two weeks over Christmas this year in Taiwan, travelling entirely around the island from Taipei to Taipei, clockwise. I intend to upload my entire trip in 4 parts, starting with Taipei. Enjoy.

Amazing, I quite like your usage of bokeh throughout. Seems like a signature element of your photography. Great work!

Excellent thread!

Taiwan is just one of those places that's hard to describe to someone who hasn't been. Never in my life have I met nicer people than the Taiwanese. I don't think a more earnest, humble, selfless and friendly population exists on the planet.

I notice you focused a lot of food and the night markets (honestly, how can you not in a foodie paradise like Taiwan). Taipei's got some good eats, but I hope you were able to chow down in my old stomping ground of three years; Tainan. I'm a slim dude, but I actually started to gain some weight living there. I had to cut out the daily second breakfasts and second lunches.

I can't wait to see what else you've got.

If I had had 2 more days, literally, I would have gone to Tainan. As it happened I didn't unfortunately. I went to all the other "Tai's" though.

^He's definitely a good photographer. I think it would be appropriate to call him the "Sabotai of China (?)" wouldn't you? (where are you from anyways)...

Thanks! Appreciate the comments. Do you mean where am i from, or him? I am actually from the UK, but have been living in Japan for about 5 years. I will be moving back to the UK pretty soon though (unrelated to the earthquake).
