I read the name and was expecting more. It's interesting, but kind of bland. I think the renderings aren't really showing how nice it potentially will be.

I mean the tower itself - it's totally meaningless and abstract. They should be as specific and fearless with the outward shape of the tower as with its interior.

I mean, this is pretty radical for Bob Stern. His specialty is faux-Classical and faux-Deco. It is bland though.

By the way note that the building on the left in the background that's been recently renamed Eqho (used to be Descartes) is being upgraded to the current environmental standards. So they're about to change the facade, here's a sample of the new cladding :

Most comments on the french forum are harsh so far, they don't like those black joints between the glass panels. I think it's alright though, that glassy pastel-colored facade should be refreshing.

Many more photos of Carpe Diem's construction on progress, that page still from defense-92.fr is weekly updated. For now the latest pictures are 3 days old.

Yea that's the top floor. It looks like some sort of terrace roof, there would be some meeting and dining rooms surrounded by an outdoor garden up there. They literally call that kind of huge opening in the wall "a panoramic widescreen showing Paris". I guess it'll be nice but also exclusively reserved for the tenants and their guests.

They started to add the decks (or whatever that's called, you see what I mean) around the core, that takes some kind of massive scaffolding...

Looks like a steel-reinforced concrete frame as opposed to a straight steel frame, which is an interesting choice for an office building, which are usually (though certainly not always) the latter. The tall scaffolding looks to be for the ceiling of the triple-height lobby.
