Good one.............you had me going for a minute.
It's probably just as well it's not being built because knowing London it would just be another concrete monster.

Farhi should have a 32-storey statue of himself built at King and Clarence.

I'm curious, what would everyone think if this building, or something similar to it was build on a different property, say 100 Queens with a second tower proposed with it, but NOT twin towers, both have a similar podium all the way across but 2 towers with similar but different styles to them. i've heard rumours of a possible development from a developer out west for that area, with one tower being 34 storeys and the second possibly approaching the 40+ level if sales are strong enough.

just thought I would see what everyone else thinks of this actually coming true.

What would a bunch of London skyscraper enthusiasts think of a two tower project in downtown London? Hmmm, isn't the answer obvious? How did you happen to hear about this? Details please. People don't just stumble upon this type of information.

only thing I have heard is a fairly new developer from Alberta has shown interest in downtown London and is looking to start developing within the next year. I over heard it from a contact of mine here out west, but they don't have all the details yet, as i know know i will post it! Only details he had were that the towers would be no lower than 30 floors, with the hope for have 34 and possible 42 as the levels for each in their first development downtown and depending on the level and quickness of sales, develop another property after that as well. Their only challenge has been financing at the moment but have said its only a matter of time before it comes together with their investors. I couldn't pull a name out of him but still great news to hear, hoping to know more in the next couple of months.

That was Fahri's vision for the old London Public Library building.

Fahri's problem is he isn't a risk-taker, which is fair, except that it means his properties sit vacant and under-used. I remember when he first proposed the LPL tower he insisted that it was a vision and that the market just wasn't there. But you only have to look at the Tricar, Millennium, and other residential developments in the core to know how wrong he was.

the vacancy rate for office space is very high...getting higher with Bell firings. We've lost all our HQ's to Tarana. The future looks bleak for officetowermanship. Condos are the only viable option for improving downtown.
