And FCP was definitely world class architecture at the time it was built.
Tallest building outside of the USA and 8th tallest in the world when it was built. Also held the record for the highest logo on a building in the world.
Amazing to see that 36 years after it was completed, nothing in Toronto or Canada has topped it. (CN Tower doesn't count.)
For me its a toss up between Absolute World and the Bow, with a slight edge to Absolute World.
The great unknown is what will the remake on FCP do for its image when its getting surrounded on All sides by equally tall skyscrapers, which are brand new and go all the way from the lake to Yorkville.
I hope it can maintain its newfound gleem in a sea of unrelenting skyscraper construction.

I did have Halifax written their but for some reason I must have deleted it. Sorry. As I said I have to do some research on the matter? I need to look at all of the bigger cities to make a proper assessment. I am not sure if I like the tallest in Halifax as much as the tallest in Quebec City or Regina. I will look and then I will finish my favourites list.
The tallest in Halifax is the Fenwick Tower at 97.5m
Personally, I think that they aren't in the same "class" as the others, so I didn't include them.

Fenwick Tower in Halifax is ugly. Most of the others are ugly or forgettable with the exception of Calgary. Shangri-La in Vancouver is okay but it gets demerits for its hokey name and thinness -- it really looks tiny from many angles.
PS - Fenwick is in the process of being redeveloped. It won't be particularly architecturally exciting when it's done but it will be a lot nicer (and a bit larger):
^certainly has a better profile, because it is a bit of a truckface.

Eww! Just like the one in Toon Town; however, it is not the tallest in Saskatoon. I thought one of them glass ones where taller than that hideous thing. Like I said though, I am going to look at most, if not all of the major cities and then I will make an educated list. Dam, that is too bad that it is Regina’s tallest. That building is so fugly that is hurts. hahaha
For me it's the Bow and Absolute World.
But I do really like FCP (not only becuase of it's height).
Another one I really like is One London Place. I've seen it about five times and it looks great (Especially being surrounded by mostly concrete buildings it stands out).
Probably the Bow followed by Shangri-la and 1000 de la Gauchetiere. 1000 is not my thing. I do like the Shangri-la tower but, it loses major points with the podium and the photovoltaic cells. The Bow is so new it's still under construction. It wins on top quality materials moreso than the compromised design features which includes the diamond patterned curtainwall.
I don't have a problem with Absolute's roof profile. I would even go so far to say it the best option out of the all the suggestions given on this forum. However, it's a residential tower with average window-wall. It's also a twin tower complex.
I've really come to love the banking podium having spent a lot of time in the bank's podium. However, the rest is pretentious, conservative and the tower floorplans dark and cavernous.
