This is great. I have seen it many times from I-95, but have never stopped.

Of course, Rob & Laura always come to mind when I think of New Rochelle. (Am I showing my age?)

Excellent street-level pics.

New Rochelle isn't quite a White Plains or Stamford in terms of corporate center, but it's definitely a strong second-tier city north of NYC.

And New Rochelle has very impressive long-term redevelopment plans-

Twin 50-floor towers, called LeCount Square.

Four 20 to 35 floor towers, two near the train station, and two near the shopping core.

New Rochelle's location is really excellent. Very close to Manhattan, great older neighborhoods, and a scenic waterfront location.

^Agreed. I dig New Rochelle. They had this wonderful diner just south of downtown (that was eventually torn down not too long ago) on Route 1 that I remember had some bomb-ass food. Oy!

Heheh, I was going to say the same thing, but didn't want to show my own age. Funny how we associate some towns with TV characters.

This does look like a very nice town. Great photos.

thanks for the pics. i've seen it from the air and from the top of the rock and always wondered what it looked like at street level.
