What, in the renderings or in real life? lol.
If you mean real life, i'm pretty sure every city in the world has hot women... But we'll take the compliment i suppose.

After I loaded the SketchUp that someone posted earlier into my Google Earth and looked around from different vantage points, I was surprised how little this building affects the skyline. There's really only one prominent vantage point in the city (Grandview Ave.) where it isn't either concealed or lumped in with a cluster of adjacent buildings. Not that that's a bad thing, I just assumed it would really change the skyline from almost every vantage point.

Yeah, not surpising. Pittsburgh is dense with several large tower clusters. People were expecting the recently completed 3PNC/Reed Smith tower to make an impact but from many angles you can't see it at all.

Nothing under about 650+ft is even going to stand out unless it is strategically placed.

Which is kind of a nice problem to have imo.

That's why PNC should've made this building at least 700 feet.

Very nice design. PNC seems to be on a building spree after building a skyscraper only a few years ago a few blocks away.

Excellent. This is going to be a highrise I will look forward to watching it rise.

...I hope there is no time lapse between demo and construction.

Just noticed, there is now a drawing of the Tower at PNC Plaza on the Pittsburgh city diagram. Cool!

I love the design BUT Pittsburgh is one of those cities that looks fine with a small skyline. I would describe it as the mini-Hong Kong on the U.S. The landscape makes the city. Development is great, but Pittsburgh is one of those cities that I don't want to see a thousand footer in (which was gonna happen in the 70's). If every city on this planet (was the same) had a massive skyline, then skyscrapers wouldn't be fun. Being different is GOOD.

Site activity continues.

The scaffolding has been completely removed from the Wood St. Side of the site. Actually,
I think it is gone from the site completely. Today, there were some employees from Equitable Gas doing some work when I was there around 4:00. Most of the buildings were spray painted with large orange "G", "W", and "E" letters. Most if not all of the "G"'s
and "W"'s had a slash through them. My complete guess is that the letters stand for gas water and electric and the slash represents the buildings utilities being turned off and prepped for demolition. Disappointingly, about half of the wire fence surrounding the perimeter has now been covered with black cloth.

Photographers unite! Rapid progress is happening on site. The building at the corner of Wood & Forbes is already almost demolished to street level. Sitting on the rubble is a piece of heavy equipment ready to do more damage. At 9 PM, there were workers on site, in the former Rite Aid. Unfortunately, I myself can not post many pics as my current internet access is limited to a smart phone. I do hope to be able to get some current day pics on here Wednesday, as I will have access to a Laptop.
