Now a tour of the city streets, first George Street, this street is really the heart of the city. Taken during the lunch time rush at about 12pm.

I wish winters here were as pleasant as they appear in Sydney. To be able to wear just a light jacket would be wonderful!

Yep. The climate here is a lot like California, though the disadvantage is that it never snows.

Pitt Street Mall, a pedestrian only section of the street, and 6th most expensive retail street in the world.

York Street.
A smaller one of the north to south streets that runs as far as Town Hall. Has a lot of nice heritage buildings.

I took some pictures around the Royal Botanical Gardens, large parklands besides the CBD.

This is the Arthur Philip statue, first governor of the colony back in the days it was a prison colony.

I really love this buiding, it's the Aurora Place and is occupied by the Royal Bank of Scotland.

In a city this large and urban of course you aren't going to find wild Kangaroos etc, but there are wild cockatoos and bats in the city parks!

They are surprisingly tame.

The Palm Grove area of the gardens.

And the tropical centre, in the glass pyramid.

There are fig trees through out the gardens.

The Royal Botanical Gardens have some of the best views of the city.

I was in the city to see a concert, and it was rather foggy as I left!

Town Hall had some spotlights set up.

They created a neat effect around Citigroup Centre.

Hard to beat Sydney...and the cockatoos are awesome!!! I wanna live in a city where cockatoos and huge fruit bats are just hangin' out in the park.

Today I stood at an intersection on George Street and focused on pedestrians, typical Sydneysiders. It was a cold day, just 10C/50F which is about as cold as winter gets in Sydney.
