Edmonton - As seen from the IRL Honda Indy

Coming down from a weekend of motorsports bliss, late night bands, and one hell of a good time.

very cool, looks like it was a lot of fun. if that airport ever got re-developed for other human uses, it could be amazing.

I think it's great we have an event like this in this province, hopefully it continues to grow in stature... I noticed a Pacific Western plane in one of your photos, did West Jet introduce a retro cladding for this event?

This thread is racy! Looks like a great event. Especially with that great skyline as backdrop.

Thumbs up! Gotta luuuv the intro shot and #2, racing car in the middle, wonderful skyline in the background.

The track is within city limits or within city fringes ? Looks like out on the prairie.

The track is well within the city limits. It is held on the site of the (soon-to-be) decommissioned City Center Airport.

If you look here, you can see the location of the airport within the city. The track itself was moved from the west side of the site to the east this year.

Very nice. Haven't been to a race in a while but hope to make it to the ALMS race in Monterey.
