nice set of the ol' hometown on this one. go blue rocks!

good to see bob marley finally getting some love from institutional delaware. i don't think i've ever seen the bridge raised down on the riverfront.

Nice!

Did Happy Harry's used to be Woolworth's? Looks just like ours.

It's great that they put the motto in quotes...that way we know they're saying it. Or more correctly, that way we know that they didn't have a high falutin' editor.

Great pics. I love the last one. Have they built new high-rise residential on the river? I don't think I have seen them before. Guess I haven't gone through
Wilmington in a while.

There are two residential buildings on the Riverfront. They were built in 2005 and 2007.

It was. Now Happy Harry's is Walgreen's, but to the dismay of Delawareans. Walgreen's bought Happy Harry's, our local drgustore chain, a few years ago and made the switch with the branding this summer, hence the pictures before the change was made. Delaware is fiercely loyal to state/local brands, hence the bank war evident in the picture below...

I think it's interesting too, and these competing billboards are just part of the bank war going on since M&T Bank bought Wilmington Trust. Ads side-by-side in the newspaper, radio ads going after each other, Internet ads, etc are everywhere.

Nice set of pics.

This is what I miss in many photo threads of minor league towns.
Frawley Stadium is a nice ballpark.

Thanks for the tour.

I'm glad this got bumped up. I've not seen much of Wilmington in photos. What the skyline appears to lack in height, it seems to make up in density.
