Today Rotterdam is still building on towards becoming a complete city, while Amsterdam already is complete.

Great job Raptor! I love Amsterdam. So free and chillax and very easy to get around. I was there when Ajax won the championship and the entire city went crazy for 2 days straight!

I feel the kindred theme, Amsterdam and Nyc are oddly alike.

You forgot the most beautiful building in Amsterdam, de Groenlandse Pakhuizen. And I'm not just saying that because I live there

But your photos capture the atmosphere here very well. Do you have some winter pictures too? I always love seeing Amsterdam covered with snow...

Good pics. Haven't been to Amsterdam in years, pity that I'm buried under work to do much travelling to revisit the place!

Great photos as usual Raptor.

If ANYONE is planning on going to Amsterdam, I highly, highly, highly recommend trying out the rental boats shown in the picture above. Boaty.nl is the website. The boats are electric, slow as hell, but a totally awesome way to see the city from a different angle.

Skip the tour boats and hit the canals on your own. I swear you can see the jealousy in the eyes of the tourists stuck on the tour boats.

Amsterdam looks very beautiful in these shots.
I will go there tomorrow! I will stay for 6 days and will also visit Rotterdam, Hague and Delft.
