Not a fan of the materials used, cabinetry, and floors. For what they're asking in New Westminster, the interior finishing should be much better in my opinion.

Layouts are pretty good though.

"Wood said she hopes the developer will scale back the project and even wonders if the approval was affected in any way by the fact Ballenas donated $3,000 to Wright's re-election campaign.

Wright was quick with a response: "That's a very fair question. Absolutely not. There is no connection between any donations given to me and development in the city."

yeah, right

That said, the incumbent mayor and council won landslide victories so....

$3,000?

That wouldn't buy you a single family home approval, let alone an 18 storey building.

I totally get the people in that building are pissed off... but it's unrealistic to assume they would perpetually have unobstructed views (it seems her unit is still going to have some killer views... just not as nice as what once was). The city can't cave in every single time a view is threatened NOTHING would get built downtown. T&H is obstructing the views of the highrise over Regency College and the approved hypothetical Larco development will impose on views from T&H and Interurban. It's part of life.

Ugh I would love to live in this building. I used to live in the older white high-rises just down the road. Such an amazing view from that area!

This one is so close to downtown it's basically like living in DT NWM. and only a 5 min walk from Columbia Station.
