^ I was talking about structures. If you want to add empty lots into the equation, there are more than a few, including the Cityfront center tower you're talking about as well as the aborted Graves Hotel site across from Time-Life.

I think this rendering from the updated Related Website is the latest revision and would explain the double height floor as it appears the balconies have been eliminated:

If this is the most current design I like this tower a lot more. Looks like the glass could end up resembling the Roosevelt tower in which case I would be thrilled. This design is MUCH better than the previous images we've seen.

^^^ Huh, I've never heard of anyone removing balconies from a design. It looks sleeker now though, so no complaints from me. I bet the rendering is just tinted a little differently and they didn't change the plans for the glass. That being said, I hope it ends up being a little deeper blue than it looks to be in the renderings. It'll pick up on Lake Michigan on those sunny summer days... All the glass towers in this city end up feeling so cold.

Glass is going up. Doesn't look like Roosevelt tower.

Pictures? Is it the same as the glass in this rendering? Or is it the shitty silvery glass originally shown?

It looks silvery - sorry. It is just a start though. The glass is going up on the north and east sides and can be seen when you get off LSD at the Grand exit. I will try to take a pic tomorrow AM.

I just walked past this (sorry, no pics) and the glass doesn't really look silver to me. It looks like the glass on the current render but then again only one strip of glass has gone up so it's kinda hard to tell.

Just rode by. It's really hard to tell the color until the glass gets higher. It might almost be the same tint as trump tower. It's like a very desaturated blue but not quite grey.

Love the Trump tower, and its facade.

Looks good. It's hard to tell the color, but I am thinking it will be like the trump, which looks blue some days, and silver on others.

It actually doesn't look like it has a tint on it all. It looks to be highly reflective, as it's reflecting the building across the street from it pretty accurately. So if it's overcast out, and you're standing on the ground and looking up at the glass, it'll look grey. When it's clear out and reflecting the sky, it'll look blue.

Same as Trump.

I still think its pointless, but I guess the simple minded are easily amused.

It's hard to tell exactly what the color will look like once it is up, but the mullion work seems nice. I can't really tell what is going with those vertical strips of silver glass in the rendering.

Wow, I sense some jealously. And frustrated enough to post this in May.

This is a construction thread btw.
